Martin Kovanič, M.A., PhD.

Martin Kovanič pôsobí ako vedeckovýskumný pracovník na Katedre politológie UK a odborný asistent na Fakulte regionálneho rozvoja a medzinárodných štúdií na Mendelovej univerzite v Brne. V roku 2016 získal Ph.D. na Univerzite Komenského, M.A. získal na Central European University (CEU) v Budapešti v roku 2012. V rokoch 2015 a 2016 sa zúčastnil výskumných pobytov na Vienna Center for Societal Security vo Viedni, v rámci ktorých sa venoval problematike sledovania a spoločenskej bezpečnosti (societal security). V minulosti pracoval na výskumných projektoch, ktoré sa dotýkali bezpečnosti, sledovaniu a právu na súkromie, vrátane projektov 7. RP Európskej komisie IRISS a SOURCE.

Martin Kovanič is a researcher at the Department of Political Science at Comenius University and an Research Assistant at the Department of Social Development at the Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies of Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. He holds a Ph.D. degree in political science from Comenius University. He earned his M.A. degree in political science at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. In 2015 and 2016, he was a Visiting Researcher at Vienna Center for Societal Security in Vienna, Austria where he worked on the topics of societal security. His research interests include post-communist politics, surveillance, security and transitional justice. He worked on several research projects concerning the issues of surveillance and right to privacy, including 7th framework EC projects IRISS and SOURCE.
